To My Dear Hall

Dear Hall,

You called me up this at 11am Monday and ask me to return my room key back to the office. Due to unforeseen circumstances, my forgetful roomate forgot to return the keys for me as promised. I took half day leave just to rush back by cab to return the keys before 1pm. Upon returning the keys, you told me that I will be fined for OVERSTAYING.

I am sorry to tell you that I actually moved into my new hall since last week, and due to my limitations, I am unable to split myself into two and stay in both halls.

I admit that I used to love you very much...

I eat with you...

I play DotA with you...

I fight for you...

 and I even camwhore with you...

But can you tell me what's the point of charging me when you are handling the building to the contractors for renovation? Did I delay the renovation job? Don't you have another set of keys of my room to open the door if that's the case?

You scheduled us to shift out during weekdays when we are all on our Industrial Attachment. You don't allow us to move out earlier. You advised us to vacate the room and return the key latest by 9am the next morning. So any further delay will cost us $7.50/day?

And since 5th May...umm...it's 1 week already?

$7.50 x 7 = $52.50 ??

Thanks to your efficiency, I've finally learnt an important lesson in my life...

Never treat your hostel like your home,

Spending Spree on Adidas

I always wanted to save more money because I am planning to travel somewhere after my IA. I thought I am one step nearer to realize my dream after getting my salary for March.

But bad things happened when you have extra money...
Both my "Adidas" shoes and bag were spoilt after using them for 2 years!
End up I spent my weekend shopping in Jurong Point looking for replacement...

I don't consider myself as an Adidas fan but I definitely prefer the simplicity of its design.
But why are they selling so expensive with just 3 lines and 6 alphabets ??!!

It looks no difference to me but I can feel the pain in my wallet!
Hopefully they can serve me longer since they are GENUINE ADIDAS...

I tried my best but I just couldn't get the answer, but at least I'm sure that this player is not in the current team. Perhaps he is one of the legends of Manchester United like Bobby Charlton or Eric Cantona wearing this year's Home Jersey?

To find out the answer, I just simply flipped the key chain to the back to look for the name and the number of the player.

The answer is........................

I was laughing and shouting WTF??!! when I saw the answer.

Anyway, the price is just SGD$2.30, how ORIGINAL and OFFICIAL can this key chain be?

Industrial Attachment : Sunset

After busy with my designs and calculations for the whole week,

I decided to slack abit on last Friday evening, hopped on the back of my company lorry and took some photos, trying to find a suitable photo to be used as my header.

Yeah, as you can see now...I've already found one!

And here are some photos taken using my Lumix DMC-FS3.

The qualities are OK though I tried to set my camera to "sunset" mode.

but I think it's unsuitable because that is not “炊烟” (smoke coming out from kitchen) and the building is just across the narrow Johor Straits.

Cat Rescue

It's been raining cats and dogs lately,
and there was a cat which really "dropped" into my office.
Meowing sound can be heard for almost 2 days until all of us really beh tahan.

Two of my colleagues tried to find the source of the sound.
One thought that the cas was hiding on the roof top,
while another put his ears to the wall to listen to it better.

Then, they found it "inside" the wall!

Well, I am now having my IA in a temporary site office,
and all the walls are actually just simple partition walls.
So I think the cat fell into the gap
between the wall and the neighbouring container.

Next, they set up a "trap" by
making a knot on the rope which was then being inserted into the gap.
Another colleague lured the cat
to move towards the trap by knocking on the wall behind.

Within 10 minutes...

Success!

The kitten just ran away once we untied the knot...

Go go...back to mommy...

Industrial Attachment : Part 2

This is the 10th week and I tutor didn't come and "visit" me. 

In fact, he sent an evaluation form to my supervisor. 

I think my supervisor graded me as "above average"! 

It's been raining lately and 

I can only stay in office doing some paper works. 

I no longer feel bored, 

because I got myself a 2nd-hand iPod Touch at $290!

This is the 1st present I bought for myself,

considered as a good deal because

it's being used for less than a month and it looked totally NEW !!

Translation Fail ?

It's friday again !! This week, we went Geylang

to have bull frog porridge & beef noodle for our dinner.

Too bad BoonMing decided not to join us after his dilemma...

as they are well-known enough for everyone.

"if you never try, you'll never know"..so...I don't know..lolz!

When we walked along the street, Wy Leong discovered this...

For those who don't know Mandarin, 

here are some simple translations.

老 = Old , 母鸡 = Hen . So supposingly 老母鸡 = Old Hen

Whereas for me,

who speaks Cantonese more than Mandarin nowadays,

intepreted it as 老母(Mother)+鸡(Chicken),

which means Mother's Chicken.

(P.S : When we say 老母, we never mean that the mother is old)

And end up the name of this shop is the combination of these two 

- Old Mother Hen ... failed?

Finally, we stopped at Rochor Restaurant

for beancurd and soya bean, and this is the shop beside...

Sorry because my SE P990i's camera is poor

in photo-taking, especially at night...

and I dare not to walk too near to take this photo.

But if you can see, the name of this shop is 绿色乞丐.

So this is a 100% failed translation.
