Are You A Manchester United Fan?

As usual, I went Nanyang Mart after my dinner at Canteen 2 last Friday.
After the special socks and candies that I found last time, this is what that caught my attention this time...

Manchester Official Collection

Wow, our Nanyang Mart is selling Machester United's Official Merchandise !!
So here is a quiz for all the Manchester United fans :

Who is this Manchester United Player?

Man Utd Key Chain

I tried my best but I just couldn't get the answer, but at least I'm sure that this player is not in the current team. Perhaps he is one of the legends of Manchester United like Bobby Charlton or Eric Cantona wearing this year's Home Jersey?

To find out the answer, I just simply flipped the key chain to the back to look for the name and the number of the player.

The answer is........................

Cristiano Ronaldo!!

I was laughing and shouting WTF??!! when I saw the answer.
Anyway, the price is just SGD$2.30, how ORIGINAL and OFFICIAL can this key chain be?

Industrial Attachment : Sunset

After busy with my designs and calculations for the whole week,
I decided to slack abit on last Friday evening, hopped on the back of my company lorry and took some photos, trying to find a suitable photo to be used as my header.

Yeah, as you can see now...I've already found one!
And here are some photos taken using my Lumix DMC-FS3.
The qualities are OK though I tried to set my camera to "sunset" mode.

from 《青花瓷》

These lyrics appeared on my mind when I took these photos,
but I think it's unsuitable because that is not “炊烟” (smoke coming out from kitchen) and the building is just across the narrow Johor Straits.

Used to include this proverb at the end of our Chinese essays about outings or picnics by the seaside during primary school times.

“夕阳无限好,只是近黄昏。我带着依依不舍的心情踏上归途……”

Low Efficiency of University Hospital Malaysia

This post is written as requested by a doctor based on the experience of my friend's dad :

My friend's dad was not feeling well, having "cold sweating"
and feeling of heart discomfort for more than 20 minutes few days ago.
He spoke to his cardiologist over the phone and he advised him to admit to the "Trauma and Emergency Ward" of University Hospital, Malaysia.

After spending the first 20 minutes for the preparation of admission and documentation, including BP (Blood Pressure) test and ECG (Electrocardiogram), he waited for more than 2 hours for a doctor's turn to see him.

The Waiting Lobby

10 minutes later, he was asked to take his blood test and he waited for another 2.5 hours for the blood test result before his turn to see the doctor again.

My friend's dad asked the doctor on duty why the patients have to go through all these unnecessary waiting time. The doctor replied, there were only 2 doctors on duty and they have to sacrifice dinner time to cope with the number of patients.

The Empty Consultation Hall

When asked further, she said they have spoken many times to the management and appealed for more staff ( doctors & nurses etc) to be on duty but were ignored. The doctor even encouraged him to do a research and make a comparison with other hospital what will be the waiting from admission until you are able to see a doctor.

Well, this is a government hospital. If you are not happy, you can switch over to a private hospital, in which you have to pay for rocket-high fees.

So in total you need to wait for MORE THAN 5 hours to see a doctor in the EMERGENCY ward regarding HEART problem?

Perhaps the management staff should play this game before they really run a hospital:

Otherwise, looks like we, as tax payer, have to continue to waste our precious time to see a doctor in the government hospital.

Smile Always

Got a forwarded e-mail from my dad one day
about ways to keep yourself happy and smile always!
Among the 40 ways, this is the one that caught my attention :

I am always the noisiest and the most talkative among my friends,
and some says the weirdest and the one who don't care about image at all,
even when I am having my meal.

Recently, everyone is busy preparing exams
so I have more time doing my own things after my IA
since phone room had closed for exam period as well.

I spent time sorting my old photos
and realized that I am really a weirdo.

Pork Ball Noodle @ PJ State

This is my 100th post and I would like to take this opportunity to
introduce my Mom's noodle stall near PJ state.
This will be my first (and maybe the 1 and only1) food review post!

Not so long ago, my parent decided to take over a noodles shop in PJ State
in view of my dad's retirement, and will soon become unemployed.
The stall is at a corner coffee shop called Fook Yun Kopitiam (福运茶餐室), situated at a row of shop/office sandwiched between Menara MBPJ and the multi-storey carpark, where the weekly Sunday Car Sales was held, in PJ State.

It is learned that the first Pork Ball Noodle stall was started by a man from Canton, China at the former Foch Avenue 指天街 ( now Jalan Silang) after the 2nd World War.

At that moment, the shop was situated at a road junction
annexed to two other shoplots, regular customers had thus named it as "San Gan Zhong", which literally translated as "three adjacent shops ".
The pork ball is unique in its taste & texture
and has become very popular in KL & PJ,
Hence the famous "Sam Gan Zhong" Pork Ball Noodle

Thereafter, the art of pork ball making mushroomed and
was well established in Jinjang, the place where I grow up.

This is different from the Pork Noodle (猪肉粉),
another kind of noodle which contains pig intestines, liver & etc.
This stall has been visited by KY, a well known food blogger in his Blog, KYspeaks .com, couples of months back, and he has given his thumps-up for the noodles.

The main ingredients of this noodle are :

Pork Balls & Siew cheong, ( Minced meat stuffed into the intestine)

Customers can order for any four variety of noodles, ie:
Mee, Mee Hoon, Kuey Teow and Lou Shu Fun and / or the mixture of any 2 of them, to be served in dried or soup.

Marinated Meat with noodles

And this is what I will eat EVERYTIME...
My Breakfast before going back to Singapore

Do visit our stall from 6.30am till lunch time daily.

I believe most food hunters will prefer eating nice food
at hawker stall to those franchise restaurants.

My mom will be happy if you tell her that
you come to know about our stall from the internet,
and sometimes you may see my look-alike dad helping out during weekends too!

Wings musicafe

because you love music, and I love to sing;
thus we are here.

Elaine.

请多多支持,只售RM29.90!

Like Father, Like Son

My mom reminded me that my driving license has expired
and the first thing I did once I reached KL is to take instant photos
and renew my license.

My parents collected it for me the next day when I enjoyed sleeping at home.
Then, My dad showed me something after I woke up...

So what do you think?

Daughtry - Home

This is a scheduled post and
I am on my way back to KL when you are reading this.

The main purpose of going back this time is for "ching beng' (清明)
and it's also a good time for me to recharge my energy.
Loads of stories to share with my dad,
and lots of things to update from my friends...

Highly recommend this song if you are going back to hometown too.

Daughtry - Home

I'm staring out into the night,
Trying to hide the pain.
I'm going to the place where love
And feeling good don't ever cost a thing.
And the pain you feel's a different kind of pain.

Well I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm not running from.
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old,
So I'm going home.
Well I'm going home.

The miles are getting longer, it seems,
The closer I get to you.
I've not always been the best man or friend for you.
But your love remains true.
And I don't know why.
You always seem to give me another try.

So I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm not running from.
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old,

Be careful what you wish for,
'Cause you just might get it all.
You just might get it all,
And then some you don't want.
Be careful what you wish for,
'Cause you just might get it all.
You just might get it all, yeah.

Oh, well I'm going home,
Back to the place where I belong,
And where your love has always been enough for me.
I'm not running from.
No, I think you got me all wrong.
I don't regret this life I chose for me.
But these places and these faces are getting old.

I said these places and these faces are getting old,
So I'm going home...
I'm going home...

Olivia - Fall In Love
